Gardenia Blossom Green Spring 2025

Gardenia flowers 栀子花 used to infuse this tea hail from Qianwei county 犍为县 in Sichuan! Alas, they are an unusual choice for tea infusions! Not traditionally a ‘food-flower’ like jasmines and osmanthus, this bold new infusion of 2024 is surprisingly sweet! The age-old floral infusion process of layering fresh flowers over tea leaves is repeated seven times to achieve a rich and deep floral candy sweetness! Made from pre-Qingming harvest green teas of Fuding Da Bai cultivar 福鼎大白  more known for whites, these leaves harvested from 800-1100masl are delicate and sweet. The resultant infused green tea leaves  brews a refreshing and uplifting cuppa!
