Kyoto Hojicha Karigane Spring 2024

We were told by our Japanese friends that Hojicha is considered such a gentle tea, that they were fed to young children and folks who were unwell. We know that this particular Hojicha is definitely of lower caffeine as it was made from stems and not leaves! Karigane is a type of kukicha (stem teas in Japanese) made from good quality teas. We find this roasted green tea calming and soothing. Cue drinking a small tea bowl of this, on a rainy day. Enjoy it for its roasted fragrance and malt like sweetness.
