Liu Bao 六堡 2011

Liu Bao is often known as the less glamorous cousins of the Ripe Puer, but we like to disagree here! Liu Bao reminds us of the smell of the forest after the rain, and the days when we hang out with our grandparents. We like Liu Bao for its straight forward flavours, and they are flavours that keep us calm and grounded. Earthy, mellow and smooth, this is our go-to tea on rainy evenings, drank heartily from a tea bowl. This batch is made from Yunnan leaves blended with the local Wuzhou Guiqing middle sized leaf cultivar 桂青种. The resultant brew is smooth and rounded, like a sweet tea soup. Liu Baos age well. Keep in a dry cool place for a mellower, smoother mouthfeel over time.
