Pre-Qingming Pinglin Bi Luo Chun 坪林碧螺春 2023

Not to be confused with the namesake in China, Bi Luo Chun is a green tea that is traditionally grown in Taiwan! The more traditional area is in a nearby region called Sanxia, made from a cultivar called Qingxin Ganzai. But particular batch is grown in the olden Wenshan district in Pinglin, and from the Qingxin cultivar. Qingxin is a cultivar widely grown and well loved in Taiwan because of its delicate, elegant flavours.  The resultant brew is delicate, like a sweet spinach brew and green beans, and the aftertaste is light and soothing.
