Taiwanese Spring Wenshan Baozhong 文山包种春 2022

When it comes to lightly oxidized oolongs, then Taiwanese Baozhongs 包种 is as light as it gets! Traditionally grown in Wenshan district 文山, they are liked for their delicate flavours. For the last few years, we had curated Baozhongs by Mr Wang because of his preference for very light oxidation. The difference is that this years batch is from the first pick from newly matured tea plants, which imparts an extra refreshing dimension to this tea! Coupled with the fact that Spring teas are loved for their lively fragrance, this is an interesting contrast to the comparatively mellower Winter Baozhongs that we have been curating!
