Zhang Ping Shui Xian 漳平水仙 Spring 2025

Created in 1914 from the Shui Xian plants transplanted from north Fujian near Wuyi Mountains, ZPSX 漳平水仙 laid roots in Zhang Ping, developing a floral character - like orchid but reminiscent of osmanthus 如兰似桂!   This batch is harvested from 800-1200masl between April and May,  the leaves are sun-dried, rolled, pressed into the familiar square bricks, then roasted! Lightly oxidized, this oolong brews a creamy floral sweetness with notes of green bean paste that lingers in the after taste and last many steeps!
